We’re excited to share something new from the TransIRC.Chat Team: a private, community-focused social platform now live at social.transirc.chat!

This space is powered by the free and open source Open Source Social Network (OSSN), and is designed with trans inclusivity, privacy, and community connection at its core.

🔐 Who Can Join?

Access is exclusive to registered IRC users. That means: - You must be registered with NickServ on our IRC network - You log in using your NickServ credentials—no extra accounts, no third-party signups, just seamless integration with the community you’re already part of

If you’re logged into IRC and authenticated with NickServ, you’re already halfway there.

🤝 Why a Social Platform?

While IRC gives us real-time connection, sometimes we want a space to: - Share updates, links, thoughts, and media - Keep in touch outside of live chats - Build lasting community threads and discussions

Our OSSN-based platform offers a familiar social feed experience while staying fully self-hosted and in our hands—no surveillance capitalism, no ads, no data mining.

🎨 Familiar, Friendly, and Dark Mode Friendly

You’ll notice the interface has a cozy, dark theme to match our main site and IRC news pages. We’ve customized things just enough to feel like home without overwhelming anyone with clutter.
