✨ What Being Trans Means to Us
At TransIRC, being trans is about living your truth—no matter what that looks like for you. We recognize and affirm:
- 🤍 Transmasc, transfem, nonbinary, genderfluid, agender, and questioning identities
- 💉 Trans people with or without access to HRT, surgeries, or medical care
- 🧠 Trans people of all ages, backgrounds, and stages in their journey
We explicitly reject harmful and exclusionary ideologies such as:
- ❌ Transmedicalism – the belief that you must medically transition to be “really” trans
- ❌ AGP (Autogynephilia) rhetoric – a discredited and transphobic framework used to pathologize trans people
You do not need to prove your gender. You are valid as you are. This space exists for you—whoever you are, wherever you're at in your journey.
We’re proud to hold space for every trans and questioning individual who seeks community, safety, and solidarity.
👩💻 Meet the Admin: SarahRose
Hi, I’m SarahRose—founder and administrator of TransIRC. I built this network out of a desire for something I rarely saw online: a space by and for trans people that values honesty, safety, and mutual respect over popularity or platform metrics.
My goals for TransIRC and its connected sites are simple but deep:
- 💡 To create a welcoming home for trans and questioning folks to be themselves, without fear or pressure
- 🌱 To grow a decentralized, transparent, and community-led space that isn't subject to corporate control or surveillance
- 🧰 To build and share open-source tools that make digital community safer and easier for all of us
This is more than just a chat network—it's a community where people can breathe, vent, laugh, learn, and connect. I hope you find something here that supports you on your journey.
💖 Our Mission
TransIRC exists to nurture a space where trans and questioning people can connect, grow, and simply *be*. Everything we do is grounded in a belief that your identity is yours alone—and that you deserve respect and belonging without compromise.
- 🌈 Uplifting trans voices and experiences—without gatekeeping
- 🤝 Building a culture of mutual support, compassion, and solidarity
- 🔐 Prioritizing user autonomy, privacy, and freedom—no surveillance, no ads, no selling data
- 💬 Offering a calm, supportive environment for venting, learning, and real conversation
- 🛠️ Developing a platform that's free, open-source, and community-run—because we believe in digital liberation, too
This network is a labor of love—for the trans community, by members of the trans community. You're welcome here, fully and unconditionally.
